Both Snapdragon and Exynos variants of the Samsung Galaxy S9 surfaced on Geekbench quite recently, and it’s time for the Galaxy S9 Plus to take the stage. The Exynos 9810-powered Galaxy S9 Plus variant has just surfaced on Geekbench with 6GB of RAM and Android 8.0 Oreo. This variant of the phone managed to score 3,773 points in a single-core benchmark, while it managed to hit 9,024 points in a multi-core test.
Now, this handset managed to outperform the Exynos 9810-powered Galaxy S9, but not by much, as the other phone scored 3,648 and 8,894 points in its single-core and multi-core tests. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will be quite similar in terms of specs, though the Galaxy S9 Plus will ship with more RAM, it seems, 6GB of RAM compared to 4GB of RAM in the Galaxy S9. Both phones will include a QHD+ Infinity Super AMOLED display, though their display sizes will be different, of course. For those of you who are not in the loop, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will be announced later this month, on February 25, as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The two phones will ship in both Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 SoC variants, and their availability will depend on where you live, as was the case in past years as well. The Snapdragon 845-powered Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be available in the US, for example, while the Exynos 9810-powered Galaxy S9 handsets will be at your disposal in Europe.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will look the same, save for one detail, the Galaxy S9 will ship with a single camera on the back, while two cameras will be included on the back of the Galaxy S9 Plus. A rear-facing fingerprint scanner will be available on both phones, and a Bixby button will be included on the left as well, as was the case with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Android 8.0 Oreo will come pre-installed on both handsets, along with Samsung’s Experience 9.0 UI. The Galaxy S9 is expected to ship with a 5.8-inch display, while its sibling will sport a 6.2-inch panel, most probably.
