The Honor 9 Lite was unveiled back in December last year in China, and the company has just announced that the device is coming to Europe as well. The company has announced that the Honor 9 Lite will be priced at £199.99 in the UK, and considering that Honor’s smartphones from the UK site are available to a number of other countries in Europe, we can consider that to be the European price point. Now, upon checking Amazon.de, we’ve noticed that the 3GB RAM variant of the device is already available, though the same cannot be said for Amazon.co.uk. If you’re interested in getting the device, however, and you do live in Europe, follow the link below this article and check whether you can get it from Amazon.de or not. It is worth noting that the Honor 9 Lite is the first ‘Lite’ smartphone from the company that made its way to Europe. The device is not yet available on the Honor UK website, nor any other official Honor website in Europe, but it will be soon.
The company did, however, confirm the phone’s design and its specifications in a press release that Honor provided, and the device will practically be identical to the unit that was announced in China at the end of last year. Honor did not exactly list all of Honor 9 Lite’s specs, well, specs for the phone’s European variant, so we’re not exactly sure if it will ship with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, as both of those variants are already available in some markets, but it’s possible that both variants will become available in Europe. In any case, the Honor 9 Lite is made out of metal and glass, it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup on the back. Honor’s branding is present both on the phone’s front and back sides, while its bezels are not thick at all, quite the contrary. All the physical buttons are included on the right-hand side of the device, while the phone’s SIM card tray sits on the left.
This handset comes with a 5.65-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) FullView display, and a sheet of 2.5D curved glass is applied on top of it. Huawei’s Kirin 659 64-bit octa-core processor fuels the Honor 9 Lite, while Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, along with Emotion UI 8.0. 13 and 2-megapixel snappers are placed on both the phone’s front and back sides, though the sensors are not the same. A 3,000mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package, while chances are that the European model will sport two SIM card slots, just like its Chinese counterpart.
