JerryRigEverything has disassembled the Huawei Mate 10 Pro on video, while he also put it back together. The very first Huawei Mate 10 Pro teardown surfaced back in November, it was performed and published by ZOL, though not on video. Well, if you’ve been wanting to see the internals of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro up close and personal in a video, you’re in luck, as the source goes through the whole procedure, so you can use the embedded video down below if you need to replace one of the phone’s parts on the inside, or perhaps you repair shop needs some guidance in order to do so.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro was actually announced back in October, along with the Huawei Mate 10 and PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10. That being said, the first thing you’ll need to do before you get started is power off the device, of course. After you do that, you’ll need to remove the SIM card tray, and heat up the backside of the phone quite a bit. After you do that, you will need to use some sort of a pry tool in order to open it up, in combination with a really good suction cup. The pry tool will help you slice through the adhesive that is holding the phone’s back applied to the back of its frame, do keep in mind that you’ll also need a thinner pry tool in order to do a proper job cutting through the adhesive. After you do that, you need to be careful not to cut the ribbon that is attached to the rear-facing fingerprint scanner. As soon as you remove the back cover, you can proceed to removing the metal plate that is placed on top of the phone’s cameras, mainboard, etc. Once you’re done with that, you will get access to the battery plug, and you will also be able to detach the fingerprint scanner ribbon, which was also protected by the metal plate.
After you detach the charging port ribbon, you can remove six screws that are holding a metal plate in the lower part of the device. After that is gone, you will be able to detach antenna wires, while you’ll be able to do the same with the loudspeaker. This is just to get you started, as there are quite a few additional steps that you’ll need to take in order to fully disassemble the device, all of which you can know more about by watching the provided video down below.
