Motorola has just launched its flagship in India, the Moto Z2 Force. The Moto Z2 Force is not exactly a new smartphone on a global scale, as it was originally announced way back in July last year, but it’s completely new to Indian consumers, that’s for sure. Now, in addition to the Moto Z2 Force, Motorola also announced the Moto TurboPower Pack Mod in the country. That being said, let’s see what the phone has to offer, and how much it costs, shall we.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Force that got announced in India is basically identical to the regular Moto Z2 Force model that has been on sale in the US for quite some time now, though it’s worth noting that Motorola brought a 6GB RAM variant of the phone to India, not its 4GB RAM counterpart. This handset is made out of metal, while it sports a front-facing fingerprint scanner. Bezels are quite thick on the Moto Z2 Force, especially its top and bottom bezels, while a ‘camera oreo’ on the back of the phone houses two cameras, and a dual-LED flash. The Moto Z2 Force sports POGO pins on the back, to which you will be able to attach Moto Mods, like the Moto TurboPower Pack Mod, which comes bundled into the package, while it costs Rs. 5,999 ($94) on its own. The Moto TurboPower pack will add extra 3,490mAh battery on the device, while the phone itself comes with a 2,730mAh non-removable battery.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Force features a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED ShatterShield display, while the phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor. In addition to 6GB of RAM, the device also comes with 64GB of native storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the Moto Z2 Force, while you will find two 12-megapixel cameras on the back of the Moto Z2 Force. A 5-megapixel camera is included on the front side of the Moto Z2 Force, while the phone comes with water-repellent nano-coating as well. There are two SIM card slots on the inside of the device (2x nano SIM), while you can use one of them to expand the phone’s storage. The Moto Z2 Force measures 155.8 x 76 x 6.1mm, while it weighs 143 grams. The device comes in Super Black color, while it is priced at Rs. 34,999 ($548) in the country, and it will be available exclusively via Flipkart later today, starting at midnight (local time).
