New Leak Details Specs, Features Of The Alcatel 3V

A promotional video for the Alcatel 3V that highlights some of the key features of the smartphone has been leaked recently. The video was released by the industry insider Roland Quandt and it highlighted features like the smartphone’s 18:9 display and its dual rear cameras. In its video, the smartphone manufacturer emphasized that the 18:9 display of the Alcatel 3V will bring better multitasking experience, while the dual rear cameras of the smartphone will offer software-adjustable bokeh. The promotional video also mentions that the Alcatel 3V will feature both a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a face recognition technology which can be used to quickly unlock the device.

In a separate tweet, Roland Quandt also provided more information about the specifications of the Alcatel 3V. The handset, according to the leak, will be powered by the MT8735A chipset from the Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer MediaTek. This SoC is comprised of a quad-core ARM Cortex A53 64-bit CPU running at a maximum frequency of 1.45GHz and the Mali T720 MP2 GPU. The handset will sport a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Moreover, the rumor states that the device will contain 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal flash storage, which could be expanded using a microSD card with a capacity of up to 128GB. Meanwhile, it is also reported that the dual rear cameras of the Alcatel 3V will be equipped with one 12-megapixel snapper and one 2-megapixel sensor. The rear shooters are capable of recording videos with a resolution of 1080p and a frame rate of  30 fps, the leak indicates. On the other hand, the front-facing camera of the smartphone will have a single 5-megapixel sensor and an LED flash.

The leak further claims that the Alcatel 3V will contain a 3,000mAh battery to keep its lights on. The rumor also indicates that the handset will be available in single SIM or dual SIM dual standby variants. The Alcatel 3V will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed, and it will be available in three color options, namely Spectrum Black, Spectrum Blue, and Spectrum Gold. A previous report stated that the Alcatel 3V will be priced at €179 ($219).
