Samsung Releases New, Robot-Focused Galaxy Commercial

Samsung has just released a new Galaxy-related ad, which focuses on a robot, believe it or not. This ad has been published by the Samsung Mobile USA YouTube page, and it is probably Samsung’s way to get us excited for its upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones, at least partially, as this is not a direct teaser or anything of the sort. Having said that, the video has been embedded down below, if you’d like to check it out.

This ad is placed in Samsung Mobile’s manufacturing plant, and it’s following a tiny robot’s journey throughout the compound. First he waters a plant along the way, after which he prevents a Samsung employee from falling down by pushing his chair in the right direction. Samsung notes that the robot action are dramatized in this ad, which is kind of obvious, but the company wanted to emphasize that, just so that there’s no misunderstanding or anything of the sort. Now, in the second part of the ad, that tiny robot actually picks up what seems to be the Galaxy Note 8 prototype, and brings it over to one of Samsung’s employees for inspection, following another robot which delivered a prototype unit which did not get approved. Well, a Samsung employee approves the newly-arrived prototype, which makes the robot quite happy. This ad is not meant to be realistic or anything of the sort, but it is Samsung’s way to say that it is paying attention to details.

At the very end of this ad, Samsung uses the ‘We obsess over the small things, so you can do the big things’ caption, in order to get the message through. The company also used the ‘DoWhatYouCant’ hashtag in this ad, in case you’re wondering. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be announced in Barcelona on February 25, as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The company had already scheduled this press event, and at this point, it’s quite obvious what will Samsung announce. Sony will also show off its new flagships at MWC, while Nokia could announce some interesting devices as well. HTC, , Huawei, LG, and Xiaomi have all opted to wait when it comes to announcing new smartphones, as they don’t want Samsung to grab all the spotlight, so we’ll probably see separate events for flagships from those companies, after MWC, of course.
