Following Xiaomi Mi 7’s spec leak, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S has now leaked as well. Sketchy Xiaomi Mi 7 image surfaced earlier today, followed by the phone’s specifications, and now the company’s rumored Mi MIX 2S handset leaked as well. Now, if you take a look at the provided image, you will be able to see both the phone’s sketch, and its partial spec sheet, which includes some features of the phone as well, read on.
The sketch of this phone actually shows off a nearly bezel-less phone, only its front-facing camera breaks the design, basically. Its front-facing camera is placed in the upper-right portion of the display, and it actually resembles a leaked image of the Mi MIX 2S which surfaced back in November, but only because of the camera placement, as its back side is completely different. In any case, this phone sports a regular earpiece above the display, while its display sports rounded corners. All of the physical keys are placed on the right-hand side of this phone, a power / lock key is located below volume rocker buttons. This phone’s display, according to the leaked image, is called the ‘Full screen display 3.0’, which is supposed to represent Xiaomi’s third-gen Mi MIX display, presumably. The leaked image also notes that the phone is made out of ceramic, and it probably sports similar build materials to the ceramic unibody variant of the Mi MIX 2.
According to the leaked image, the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, as rumors suggested, while it will include 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM as well. You will get 256GB of UFS internal storage here (probably UFS 2.0), while two 12-megapixel snappers will be included on the back of the phone, as you can see in the provided image. This sketch shows three cutouts on the back, and the lower cutout is there for an LED flash, it seems. The Mi MIX 2S will offer global 4G LTE bands, just like the Mi MIX 2, and an in-display fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package. Rumors have been claiming that the Mi MIX 2S may arrive during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, but according to the info provided by our source, that will not happen, as Xiaomi doesn’t plan to launch any major phones at MWC 2018.
