The Xiaomi Mi 6X had leaked several times now, same goes for its alleged cases, and now a new leak has surfaced, showing off a silicone case which is made for the device. If you take a look the provided image, you will notice that the cutouts are exactly where they were in previous leaks, based on this, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will sport a vertically-aligned camera in the upper-left corner, similar to the iPhone X. The device’s LED flash will probably be located there as well, and its fingerprint scanner will sit on the back of the phone as well, in the usual place.
Now, based on previously leaked images, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will be made out of metal, and its cameras will protrude on the back a bit. A bottom-firing loudspeaker will be included on the phone, and the company’s branding will sit on the back of the device. A front side of this smartphone also leaked recently, and based on that leak, the device will resemble the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, it will sport thin bezels, rounded display corners, and on-screen buttons. If rumors are to be believed, the device could be fueled by the Surge S2 SoC, Xiaomi’s second-gen processor which is expected to become official in the near future. The Xiaomi Mi A2, Xiaomi’s second-gen Android One handset, will probably look identical to the Xiaomi Mi 6X, and it will ship with the same spec sheet, but it will include stock Android instead of Xiaomi’s MIUI skin.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X was announced back in July last year, so chances are that the Mi 6X will be announced in mid-2018, but we’re only guessing, Xiaomi could opt to release it sooner than expected. The device will almost certainly ship with MIUI 9 on top of Android, and it will probably pack in 4GB of RAM. An 18:9 display is also expected, and chances are we’ll get a fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) panel here, though we still do not know how large will that panel be. All in all, we’ll probably see more leaks and rumors in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
