BLUBOO has decided to share more info about its new handset, the BLUBOO S3. This handset was announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, though the company did not exactly share much info about the phone’s specs. BLUBOO did show off the device, though, and we’ve managed to spend some time with it in Barcelona, but the specs were missing, and BLUBOO is looking to fix that now, as the company shared some spec detail when it comes to this handset, which we’ll talk about in a minute.
The BLUBOO S3 is made out of metal, and it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The back side of this phone was inspired by the Galaxy S9-series, it seems, at least when it comes to the design of the dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. In any case, the BLUBOO S3’s bezels are not exactly thin, and the device features an 8,500mAh non-removable battery, which is its main selling point. Now, the phone also sports a 6-inch In-Cell display, which is manufactured by Sharp, and we’re looking at an 18:9 display aspect ratio here. The phone’s huge battery pack supports 12V/2A charging, and it comes with MediaTek’s PumpExpress 3.0 fast charging, which, at the same time, means that the phone is fueled by MediaTek’s processor, but we still do not know which one exactly. The company claims that you will be able to recharge the BLUBOO S3’s 8,500mAh battery from 0 to 100 percent in only two and a half hours, while the phone itself is less than 12mm thick.
A Type-C USB port lies on the bottom of the BLUBOO S3, while its buttons sit on the left. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see some sketches of the phone, while you can check out our hands-on coverage with the BLUBOO S3 by clicking here. BLUBOO also says that the phone will cost less than $200, though we still do not know when will it launch. Having said that, the phone is expected to arrive in the near future, it will probably launch in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that.
