First OPPO R15 Real-Life Images Surface In China

OPPO had introduced two R15-branded smartphones a couple of days ago, the OPPO R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition, and now the very first real life images of the regular OPPO R15 surfaced in China. The device that you can check out in the gallery down below comes in the Star Purple color variant, and only the OPPO R15 will be available in this color option. It is worth noting that the two phones look basically identical in terms of the design, other than the different curved glass that is applied on both devices, and the fact that one variant of the OPPO R15 Dream Mirror edition is made out of ceramic, the two phones sport the very same design.

The OPPO R15 is made out of metal and glass, the regular version of the phone sports a 2.5D curved glass on the back, where the phone’s fingerprint scanner, dual cameras, and OPPO’s branding are placed. An LED flash lies next to the phone’s rear-facing cameras, and the device sports really thin bezels, while its bottom bezel is the thickest. A display notch is also a part of the package, while the power / lock key sits on the right. The device’s volume rocker is included on the left, where its SIM card tray sits as well. Interestingly enough, OPPO opted to include a regular micro USB port to the bottom of the OPPO R15, you will not find a Type-C port down there for some reason. The OPPO R15’s display sports rounded corners, and we’re looking at an OLED panel here. A 3.5mm headphone jack sits on the bottom of the phone as well, and the same can be said for the phone’s loudspeaker.

The OPPO R15 sports a 6.28-inch fullHD+ (2280 x 1080) OLED display, while it is fueled by the Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage, while Android 8.1 Oreo come pre-installed on the phone, along with OPPO’s custom UI, ColorOS 5.0. A 16-megapixel camera is placed on the back of the OPPO R15, while a 20-megapixel snapper sits on the front side of the device. A 3,450mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package, while the device also offers two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM, hybrid dual SIM setup). The regular model is priced at 2,999 Yuan ($473) in China, and it will become available for purchase starting on April 1.
