OUKITEL has now made available a gold version of the OUKITEL U18 smartphone. While the OUKITEL U18 is unashamedly an iPhone X clone, it is not the only one as a number of manufacturers have recently announced upcoming phones which clearly draw inspiration from the latest iPhone, and most notable through the inclusion of a notch on the top of the front panel. However, while many have announced a device with this sort of design OUKITEL was one of the first to make its version a reality with the original black model first becoming available to pre-order at the start of February.
Adding to that color option OUKITEL has now confirmed it has made available a gold version of the same smartphone for those looking for a more customized look. With the exception of the color, the gold version is identical to the black model. This means the gold version also sports the same headline features such as the inclusion of a notch, a modern aspect ratio, and a dual rear camera setup. All of course, while maintaining a highly competitive price point – one of the staple features now associated with OUKITEL phones in general.
As for the actual specs, the OUKITEL U18 features a 5.85-inch display along with a 21:9 aspect ratio resulting in a 1512 x 720 resolution. Inside, the OUKITEL U18 comes loaded with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor. The dual rear camera setup is comprised of a 16-megapixel (interpolated) primary camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera, while the front of the device houses a 13-megapixel (interpolated) camera. Additional features include a rear-positioned fingerprint sensor, facial recognition (“Face ID”) software, a 4,000 mAh battery, and Android 7.0 (Nougat). As for the price, to celebrate the launch of the new color option OUKITEL has dropped the price of the U18 down to only $155 marking the lowest price this phone has been on sale for since its initial release.
