New Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Teaser Hints At Slow-Mo Camera Feature

Xiaomi recently published a couple of teaser images on Weibo pertaining to a new camera feature which will apparently be employed by the upcoming Mi MIX 2S. The original post doesn’t go into any details as to what this feature might be, but based on the teaser images depicting two clapping hands, industry watchers now speculate that the OEM could hint at the inclusion of camera features such as fast focusing or slow-motion capturing.

So far no concrete information surrounding the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S’ camera emerged, but the OEM previously teased that the two rear-facing shooters could work independently from one another, and furthermore, some rumors suggest that the units will rely on a Sony IMX363 sensor. Other leaks suggest that the device should make use of a 6.01-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080, resulting in an elongated 18:9 aspect ratio. However as far as the exterior design is concerned things are much less clear, as various previous leaks pertaining to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S have suggested that the device could come with or without a notch at the top of the display. In one particular leaked video the notch is located in the upper-right corner of the screen as opposed to being featured in the middle of the upper edge, but as yet it’s unclear whether Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship will actually flaunt this design characteristic.

As for the internal hardware, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is expected to conceal Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood, which should be based on four custom ARM Cortex-A75 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.8GHz, paired with four additional custom ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating at a frequency of up to 1.8GHz. The processor would apparently be coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of on-board memory. The battery could have a capacity of 3,400 or 4,400mAh and according to an earlier teaser image shared by Xiaomi, the Mi MIX 2S should also take advantage of wireless charging capabilities. More details on hardware, pricing, and availability will be announced within the next couple of weeks, as the flagship is planned for an official unveiling on March 27.
