Upcoming OnePlus 6 Flagship To Offer Cat. 16 LTE: Rumor

According to a new rumor, the OnePlus 6 will offer category 16 4G LTE gigabit speeds. This essentially means that it will be capable of providing 1,000Mbps download speeds, compared to OnePlus 5T’s 600Mbps download speeds, as the OnePlus 5T offered Cat. 12 4G LTE, and the same goes for the OnePlus 5, actually. The OnePlus 3 and 3T came with Cat. 6 4G LTE, which translates to 300Mbps download speed (maximum).

Having said that, the OnePlus 6 is expected to arrive in mid-2018, quite probably in June, as the OnePlus 5 arrived in June 2017. We do not have all that much info about the OnePlus 6 at the moment, but the phone will almost certainly be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC to date. According to a leaked benchmark, the phone will ship with a display notch, while its display aspect ratio will be 19:9, and the display size may end up being 6.28-inches, just like the upcoming OPPO R15. If OnePlus ends up walking in OPPO’s footsteps, then the OnePlus 6 will be made out of metal and glass, as both OPPO R15 variants will be made out of metal and glass, as per images that OPPO released in the last couple of days.

The OnePlus 6’s display will probably feature a fullHD+ resolution, while the phone will arrive in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. This is just an educated guess, but its predecessor is still available in both of those RAM variants, so the OnePlus 6 will probably be as well. Android Oreo will come pre-installed on the OnePlus 6, while the company’s OxygenOS will ship on top of Google’s operating system. The OnePlus 6 will ship with a 3,000mAh+ battery, its battery size will probably be somewhere in between 3,300mAh and 3,500mAh, and the battery will not be removable. OnePlus’ Dash Charge fast charging technology will also be included in the package, while the phone will probably sport a dual camera setup on the back, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, just like the OnePlus 5T. More OnePlus 6 info will surface in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
