The 2018 NCAA Tournament is getting ready to start this week. There are 67 games taking place over the course of four weekends (including the first four games on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13th and 14th). So there’s a lot of basketball that will be happening this month, and that’s why it’s called “March Madness”. Those of you that have cut the cord may be wondering how you can watch March Madness this year, and there are actually quite a few ways to do it. From signing up for a streaming TV service to even using the NCAA app, let’s explain.
NCAA March Madness Live – Android App
The NCAA does have its own March Madness Live app available, which will stream every single game during March Madness. However, since the games are not all on one network, but instead spread across a few of them – including CBS, TBS, TNT, and TruTV – some may require a cable or satellite TV login. But those that are streaming on CBS will not require a cable login. The app not only allows you to stream games, but also keep up with the latest scores, stats and even see how the brackets are turning out.
Sling TV
All of the channels that are hosting NCAA Tournament games, are available on Sling TV. So you could sign up for Sling TV and watch all of the games for a pretty cheap price, since Sling TV is available for just $20/month and goes up from there. Sling TV is available on all of the usual platforms – this includes Roku, Android, Android TV, Chromecast, iOS, Apple TV and many others. There is also a free seven day trial available for those that want to try out the service.

Like Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW does also have all of the channels that are hosting NCAA Tournament games this year, and it is a bit more expensive. DIRECTV NOW starts at $35/month, which is still pretty good actually. However, DIRECTV NOW is running a couple of promotions right now. One includes getting three months of the service for just $30 or $10/month. The other includes pre-paying for a month of DIRECTV NOW service and getting a free Amazon Fire TV (not the stick, but the 2017 model Fire TV). Of course that means you will need to forgo the free trial. DIRECTV NOW is available on most platforms, including Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Android, Chromecast, and iOS. So you’ll be able to watch it virtually anywhere.
