Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 7, has just surfaced in two new real-life images. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see both the phone’s front and back sides. The phone’s front side resembles a number of phones out there, it actually reminds us of the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. This handset sports a display notch, which is about the size of a display notch on the Huawei P20, and a rather thin ‘chin’ is included below the phone’s display. Speaking of which, the display on this handset sports rounded corners, and the phone definitely runs MIUI, which is yet another hint that this is the Mi 7.
If you take a look at the back side of this smartphone, you will notice that a fingerprint scanner is not there, and it’s not included on the front side of the phone either, does that mean that we’ll get an in-display fingerprint scanner with the Mi 7? Well, it is possible, as a number of rumors suggested that, even the company’s CEO recently. The back side of the device is curved, as it was on the Mi 6, and a vertically-aligned dual camera setup is also a part of the package. The company’s branding is included on the back of the phone as well, and this seems to be a Gray variant of the phone, at least based on the color of its back side. The Xiaomi Mi 7 was expected to arrive in April, but it’s quite possible that Xiaomi will move its launch further back, as the Mi MIX 2S flagship launched quite recently, and chances are that Xiaomi does not want to launch two flagship-grade devices so close one to the other.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, while it will probably include 6GB of RAM on the inside, though an 8GB RAM variant is also a possibility. The phone is expected to ship with a fullHD+ display which will be smaller than 6 inches, and the device will probably ship with Android Oreo. Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 skin will be applied on top of Android, and you can also expect the phone’s battery to be at least 3,000mAh in size. Wireless charging will also be a part of this package, and chances are that the phone will also come with two SIM card slots.
