Following the unofficial hands-on video that surfaced today, Xiaomi has just released its first video ad for the Mi 6X. This video ad was published by Xiaomi in China, via its official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, and it has been re-uploaded on YouTube for your convenience. The video itself has been embedded down below, and it stars Kris Wu, Xiaomi’s brand ambassador. In this video, which has a duration of 48 seconds, you will be able to see several color variants of the Mi 6X, and a part of the phone’s camera software. Do keep in mind that this video is aimed at the Chinese market, so you probably won’t be able to understand anything.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X will be announced tomorrow in China, as a direct successor to the Mi 5X which was announced about a year ago. Xiaomi will probably reuse the Mi 6X’s design in order to release its second Android One smartphone, the Mi A2, in about a month or two, as it did with the Mi 5X when it released the Mi A1 last year. The Xiaomi 6X will be made out of metal, as you can see in the provided video, while the phone will sport a dual camera setup and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The MI 6X actually resembles some other devices the company released this year, and its bezels are not exactly razor-thin, but they’re not thick either. Xiaomi had already confirmed the phone’s design, even prior to this video, by releasing a number of official renders of the device, and by doing that, the company also showed off all the color variants that the phone will be available in.
Xiaomi had also confirmed that the phone’s most powerful variant will ship with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, though 4GB RAM option with 32GB and 64GB of storage will also be available. The device will sport a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, while a 2,910mAh or 3,000mAh battery capacity will also be included in the package. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the Mi 6X, with Xiaomi’s MIUI software, quite probably MIUI 9.5, as that is the latest version of MIUI that is available out there.
