Official Xiaomi Mi 6X Selfie Camera Samples Are Here

The Xiaomi Mi 6X info keeps on popping up, the newest piece of info comes in the form of camera samples, official camera samples, actually. Xiaomi has decided to share selfie camera samples taken with the Xiaomi Mi 6X, in order to promote the phone’s front-facing camera, days before the arrival of the device itself. These images were taken using the ‘Portrait Mode’, it seems, and it’s easy to notice that they all sport a really nice bokeh effect. All the images in the gallery actually look really, really good, the details are spot on, and the blur lines are also well detected. Colors are punchy, and these images actually seem to good to be true. The Xiaomi Mi 6X will be quite a capable selfie shooter if it ends up shooting portrait shots like these ones.

Now, as far as the phone’s front-facing camera is concerned, Xiaomi has decided to include a 20-megapixel in this handset, we’re looking at Sony’s IMX376 sensor here, and the camera comes with a f/2.2 aperture lens. The Xiaomi Mi 6X will be announced on April 25, and the company has already revealed what the phone will look like by posting a bunch of official renders of the device. A promo video of the Mi 6X had also surfaced quite recently, showing the phone from even more angles. The Mi 6X will be available in a range of color options, and the device will be made out of metal. The Mi 6X will be a direct successor to the Mi 5X, and just like the Mi 5X, it will probably get an Android One variant. The Mi 6X is expected to launch as the Mi A2 in a couple of months, and ship with stock Android on the inside.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X will sport a vertically-aligned dual camera setup on the back, while a fingerprint scanner will sit on the back of the device as well. The phone will sport a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor will probably fuel this smartphone, while the device is expected to ship with Android 8.1 Oreo, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 UI on top of it. A 2,910mAh battery had also been mentioned in the Mi 6X’s certification listing, while 12 and 20-megapixel rear-facing cameras will also be included in the package.
