OnePlus has just announced that the OnePlus 6 will be announced on May 16 in London. The press conference will begin at 5PM BST, and this is the OnePlus 6’s global launch event. OnePlus had confirmed earlier today that the phone will be announced in China on May 17, while it will be announced in India on that very same day. That being said, if you’ll be in London on May 16, and would like to attend OnePlus’ press conference, the company will start selling Early Bird tickets for the event starting at 8AM BST on April 25.
OnePlus says that those of you who purchase a ticket, and end up attending the event, and buy the OnePlus 6, will receive a mystery gift along with the phone. OnePlus has announced that Early Bird tickets cost only £16 / €18 each, and those tickets will be available until 8PM BST on Friday 27. Regular tickets will go on sale from 8.01PM BST on Friday 27, and will cost £30 / €34 each. If you decide to buy two or more tickets (‘Plus One’ ticket), you will be able to get them for £20 / €23. If you’re not subscribed to OnePlus’ newsletter just yet, you can do so via this link, so that you don’t miss the live stream of the event. That being said, we do not know what will OnePlus give out to attendees this time around, but at the OnePlus 5T’s launch, every person who was at the event received a OnePlus backpack, event t-shirt, stickers, and a $40 coupon for the OnePlus 5T. To put things into perspective, a ticket was priced at $40. OnePlus did promise that the ‘swag bag’ will be even better this time around, so if you’re interested in participating, note the ticket sale dates.
The OnePlus 6 will sport a display notch, and it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor. The device will ship with a glass back, and it will sport some sort of IP rating for water and dust resistance. The phone will retain the OnePlus 5T’s footprint, but it will sport a larger display, quite probably a 6.28-inch panel. These is all official info that the company shared in the last couple of weeks, and OnePlus also said that the most powerful OnePlus 6 unit will arrive with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
