Marketing for the upcoming OnePlus 6 is in full swing with the company teasing the device across its social media channels to create a hype before its official announcement next month. OnePlus recently announced its partnership with Marvel Studios and in line with that, the Chinese brand has stated to give away more than six thousand tickets for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie to its Indian customers. The next Avengers movie is scheduled to hit theaters next Friday, April 27, in the country. The tickets will be valid only in ten Indian cities – Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kochi, and Ahmedabad – at selected PVR and Cinemax theaters.
In order to claim the complimentary tickets, the OnePlus users will have to follow a certain set of steps. The users will have to first register their OnePlus smartphone’s IMEI number on oneplus.in, if not already done. Once registered, the users can select their city from the available list and click on ‘Get It’ to generate a unique code required for claiming the ticket. Following the provided link to the Paytm website, the users will be able to book a free ticket by going through the usual checkout process. Shows between April 27 and April 29 can only be booked, while Paytm will charge Re. 1 as a token amount for complimentary snacks and the amount will be refunded to the user’s Paytm wallet soon after the transaction completes.
OnePlus made a similar partnership last December for the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi where a total of 10,000 movie tickets were given away. The company had also announced a special OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition to mark the movie’s release. The Star Wars-themed phone was aesthetically different from the standard OnePlus 5T variant and also had a special theme applied, which incorporated color elements taken from the Star Wars movie franchise. The OnePlus 6 is expected to be announced sometime in May, with a recent report claiming it to happen on May 18 in India. It will be company’s top-tier smartphone that will boast a Snapdragon 845 processor along with up to 8GB of RAM. A display notch has already been confirmed by the company, so is water resistance, making OnePlus 6 the first OnePlus device to have resistance to water, and probably dust too.
