OPPO has organized a launch party for its new smartphones, the OPPO R15 and R15 Pro, in China. This event took place on March 31, and the company even televised this event. The OPPO R15 and R15 Pro (also known as Dream Mirror Edition in China) were announced quite recently, and the first flash sale for these two handsets was hosted yesterday, in China. The OPPO R15 is priced at 2,999 Yuan in China, while its ‘Pro’ sibling comes with a price tag of 3,299 Yuan.
A number of Chinese celebrities were a part of the celebrations, and the company also invites partners, users, and media to be there, which is exactly what happened. The OPPO R15 and R15 Pro were originally announced on March 19 in China, and it is worth noting that the OPPO R15 Pro will be called ‘Dream Mirror Edition’ in China, while the ‘Pro’ naming is reserved for markets outside of OPPO’s homeland. The OPPO R15 and R15 Pro will probably make their way to India in the near future, while the OnePlus 6 will probably sport a very similar front side as the OPPO R15, notch included. The back side of the device will be considerably different, though as Evan Blass’ recent tweet suggested. The OPPO R15 and R15 Pro are made out of metal and glass, both devices ship with two cameras on the back, and are actually quite similar all around, though the OPPO R15 Pro is a bit more powerful, and different glass has been applied on the device.
Both phones sport 6.28-inch fullHD+ AMOLED displays, while both phones also come with hybrid dual SIM setups. The OPPO R15 is fueled by the Helio P60 64-bit octa-core processor, while the OPPO R15 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC. Both phones sport 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, while both also ship with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera. The OPPO R15 features 16 and 5-megapixel rear-facing shooters, while the OPPO R15 Pro comes with 16 and 20-megapixel cameras.
