Sketchy Nokia 9 Leak Shows Phone's Design & Full Spec Sheet

The Nokia 9 is allegedly the name of HMD Global’s upcoming Nokia-branded flagship, and the device has just surfaced in a new leak, along with its full spec sheet. It is worth noting that this is a rather sketchy leak, the phone’s design looks rather odd, and considering the quality of the image, it may as well be photoshopped. The fact that this info was published on April 1 does not help the matter, as it may as well be a hoax for April Fools day. In any case, we’ll let you be the judge of that, as per usual.

Now, if this info is to be believed, the Nokia 9 will sport a triple camera setup on the back, along with what seems to be a Xenon flash. The phone’s back side seems to be made out of glass or ceramic, and the company’s logo is also included on the back of this phone. The leaked image also mentions that the camera setup is surrounded by accents made out of 18-karat gold. According to the leaked image, the phone will sport a 6.01-inch AMOLED display, and we’re looking at a QHD display here, with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it. The device will ship with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage, if this info is to be believed, while it will also support fast wireless charging. IP68 certification will also be a part of the package, so the phone will be both water and dust resistant. A 3,900mAh non-removable battery will be a part of the package, while fast wired charging will also be included, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging solution.

The device will include a single speaker, though it will come with a smart amp for better audio. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel the phone, while 41-megapixel (RGB, 1.4um pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, wide-angle lens), 20-megapixel (telephoto, OIS, 1.0um pixel size) and 9.7-megapixel (monochrome) cameras will be included on the back of the device. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, and this is stock Android we’re looking at, as HMD Global announced that Nokia’s upcoming devices will all be a part of Google’s Android One program, plus ‘Android One’ is also mentioned in the leaked image. There are quite a few additional details mentioned in the provided image above, just in case you’re interested in some additional spec-related tidbits when it comes to this device, though as already mentioned, this is a rather sketchy leak, so keep that in mind.
