Video: Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus – A 30 Day Review

The new phone smell is gone, your screen is scratched, and everything is suddenly slower than the day you first turned your new phone on. Sound familiar? We’ve all been through this nonsense, and it ends up creating buyers remorse like most other things can’t, so how well have the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus held up over the past 30 days? Are the new features just as cool as they were on day 1, or has the novelty worn off? Samsung has packed the Galaxy S9 with tons of features, and put just a few extra into the Galaxy S9 Plus as well.

The camera is certainly one of the biggest new features of the Galaxy S9, and we’ve already covered that in depth in our camera review of both phones. So what else has Samsung packed inside the Galaxy S9 that’s new? The upgraded health sensors on the back can now detect blood pressure, thanks to a little app called My BP Lab, which has been spurred on by the University of California, San Francisco. While this isn’t a feature for everyone, it’s definitely something that could come in handy, and help eliminate the amount of stuff someone with a medical condition would have to lug around with them all the time.

Then there’s the addition of stereo speakers on the body of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus as well. These stereo speakers feature Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound, and create an absolutely stunning sound that needs to be heard to be believed. Most phones don’t ship with speakers that can do this, and it’s astounding to see it coming from Samsung, who historically hasn’t had the best speakers on its phones. Then there’s also Samsung Pay to consider, which is easily the best mobile payments solution on the market. It’s not exclusive to the Galaxy S9, but it isn’t something you can get on a phone without Samsung’s technology inside. Be sure to check out the review below and see how well the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus held up, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for the latest and greatest in tech as it drops!
