A new Vivo-branded smartphone has been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), the Vivo Y71. This is yet another budget smartphone by this China-based company, and it seems to be made out of metal. The device features a single camera on its back, while it will utilize on-screen buttons. This phone will also include a 3.5mm headphone jack below the display, where you will be able to find its charging port, and a loudspeaker as well. The volume up, volume down and power / lock keys are included on the right-hand side of this smartphone, while Vivo’s branding is placed on the back of the device.
The Vivo Y71 will sport a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. The device will be fueled by one of Qualcomm’s entry-level processors, the Snapdragon 425 64-bit quad-core SoC, and a 3,285mAh non-removable battery will also be included in this package. Now, this handset will also ship with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, if TENAA is to be believed, while Vivo’s Funtouch OS will be included on top of Google’s OS. A 13-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this smartphone, while a 5-megapixel selfie snapper will be included as well. An LED flash will be a part of the package, and it will be included on the back of the device only.
The Vivo Y71 will support 4G LTE with VoLTE, while Bluetooth 4.1 will also be supported. The device will ship with two SIM card slots, while it will also be quite thin, as it will measure only 7.8mm. According to TENAA, Vivo will release Black, Gold, and Rose Gold variants of the Vivo Y71, and the phone will be announced in the near future, probably in the coming weeks, though we still do not have an exact date or anything of the sort, as Vivo did not release a single teaser when it comes to this handset, at least not yet. Having said that, the phone will launch in China first, though it may become available in some other markets as well.
