The Xiaomi Mi 6X has just surfaced on Android.com website, days before its official announcement. The Xiaomi Mi 6X is now listed next to the Mi 5X, and other Xiaomi-branded handsets, on Google’s official Android website, and along with an image of the device and its name, Google also listed some specs of the upcoming smartphones. Before we get to it, it’s worth noting that the Xiaomi Mi 6X will become official on April 25, the device already got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and Xiaomi had shared official renders of the upcoming handset quite recently.
That being said, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see the Xiaomi Mi 6X’s front side, which is something we’ve already seen, and along with that, some of the phone’s specs are also listed here. According to Android.com, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will sport a 6-inch display, though we’re probably looking at a 5.99-inch panel here. The source does not mention what resolution will the Mi 6X’s display be, but we’re almost certainly looking at a fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) panel here. Android’s official website says that the phone will ship with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of native storage, which confirms that the 6GB RAM model is not the only one that will be announced. Xiaomi had confirmed that the top Mi 6X model will ship with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, and that variant may remain a China exclusive, as a 6GB RAM model was not mentioned on Android.com, but we’ll see. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, says the source, while the phone will not sport NFC, but it will ship with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X will be made out of metal, and it will sport a dual camera setup on its back. The phone is expected to ship with 20 and 8 (or 12)-megapixel shooters on the back, while a 20-megapixel camera will be included on the phone’s front side. MIUI 9 will ship on top of Google’s operating system here, while the phone will sport either a 2,910mAh or a 3,000mAh battery, it depends on what source you opt to believe.
