ZTE has silently announced a new smartphone, the ZTE A530. This handset actually leaked yesterday under a different name, the ZTE A606, but it seems like the ZTE A530 is its official name. The phone appeared on the MyZTE.com website, and it revealed not only its design and specs, but also its price tag. ZTE probably will not host a press conference or anything of the sort to announce this smartphone, so this listing more or less confirms it, not to mention that the phone is already available for purchase.
As you can see, the device sports a single camera on the back, while an LED flash sits right below it. The company’s logo is placed on the back as well, and a rear-facing loudspeaker is visible here as well. This is a budget phone, so it’s not surprising that ZTE opted to include a loudspeaker on the back of the device instead of the bottom. The ZTE A530 does not exactly sport extremely thin bezels, but that was to be expected having this phone’s price tag in mind. Having said that, its bezels are not that thick either, while you will notice that all of the phone’s physical keys are located on the right. A fingerprint scanner is not a part of the package here, while the device packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage, and comes in a Silver color variant only.
This smartphone features a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, and a 2,660mAh battery. MediaTek’s MT6739 SoC fuels this smartphone, while a 5-megapixel snapper sits on its back. A 2-megapixel camera is included on the phone’s front side, while the device comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. ZTE’s Mifavor 5.2 UI, while it measures 146.4 x 69.2 x 8.5mm. It is also mentioned that this handset comes with support for both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE 4G LTE connectivity, in case you were wondering. A micro USB port sits on the bottom of the device, and the same can be said for a 3.5mm headphone jack. The ZTE A530 is priced at 799 Yuan, which translate to $127.
