ZTE Small Fresh 5S Renders, Specs & Price Surface In China

The ZTE Small Fresh 5S smartphone seems to be on its way, as the device’s renders, specs, price point and even its user manual surfaced in China, courtesy of China Telecom. China Telecom is one of China’s largest carriers, which makes this info next to official. The ZTE Small Fresh 5S will be a direct successor to the Small Fresh 5 which was announced last year, and it will be a mid-range handset, just like its predecessor.

This handset actually got certified by TENAA last month, it carries the ZTE V0920 model number, in case you were wondering. Having said that, China Telecom’s info claims that the phone will be made out of plastic, and the leaked renders reveal that it will sport sharper corners than its predecessor. These renders also reveal that the device will include two cameras on its back, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and that all of its physical keys will be located on the right. The phone’s bezels will not be that thick, and its dual camera setup on the back will not be flush with the body of the phone, those two cameras will protrude a bit. China Telecom’s info also confirms the phone’s model number, which we’ve mentioned earlier, and the phone will sport a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel this handset, while the phone will include 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage, though there’s a chance that a 4GB RAM variant will also become available, even though China Telecom does not mention that model.

The phone will sport 13 and 2-megapixel rear-facing cameras, while a single 5-megapixel shooter will be included on the device’s front side. An LED flash will be included on the back of the phone, while the phone’s SIM card tray will sit on the left. A loudspeaker will sit on the bottom of the device, along with the phone’s charging port (micro USB). Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, along with ZTE’s MiFavor UI. A 3,100mAh battery will be included here as well, while the phone will support 4G LTE connectivity. The device will be priced at 1,290 Yuan ($205) at China Telecom, if the info is to be believed.
