Amazon Brings The Moto G6 To Its Prime Exclusive Lineup For $235

The Moto G6 is the latest smartphone to join Amazon’s Prime Exclusive smartphone lineup, and it’s going to be on sale for $15 less than what Motorola is selling the regular model for. It’s not the usual $50 off that Amazon typically does for Prime Exclusive smartphones, and the reason for that is Amazon has ditched lockscreen ads on these smartphones. Instead, customers only get Amazon apps pre-installed on the Moto G6, otherwise it is the same device that users would buy from Motorola.com, but a bit cheaper. Of course, this price is only good for Amazon Prime members, but you can still sign up for a free 30-day trial and get the discount on the Moto G6.

Motorola announced the Moto G6 a few weeks ago, as its newest mid-range handset. It sports a 5.7-inch full HD+ Max Vision display, which is a full HD display in a taller 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor – which is an octa-core 1.8GHz chipset – and it comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage out of the box. Motorola does offer up a micro SD card slot for expanding storage. On the camera front, there are two cameras on the backside – a 12-megapixel main sensor with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The front-facing camera is a 8-megapixel sensor and it does also have an LED flash on the front. All of this is powered by a 3000mAh capacity battery that does also support Quick Charge 3.0, so you can easily charge up the device pretty quickly. There is also Android 8.0 Oreo on-board here, and Motorola does use a nearly stock version of Android, so there’s very little change from AOSP Android Oreo here.

While Motorola.com is starting pre-orders today for the Moto G6, Amazon’s model here is shipping beginning today. So you can order it today and have it in your hands in as little as two days, or even next-day if you pay $3.99 for next-day shipping. With the Moto G6 Prime Exclusive model, you do get Amazon Alexa built-in, so you can have an all-new way of using Alexa while you’re on the go.
