Interested subscribers of T-Mobile may now purchase the LG K30 from the carrier’s website. It was first reported last March that the carrier will sell the handset while the network operator recently provided details about the device through the official support pages posted on its website.
The LG K30 sports a metal and glass build, and it is powered by an unspecified Snapdragon chipset that is comprised of a quad-core CPU running at a maximum clock speed of 1.4GHz. The carrier did not provide any information regarding the RAM size of the handset on the product’s listing page, although the official support pages already mention that the device has 2GB of RAM. The tech firm further noted that the smartphone includes 32GB of internal flash storage, which could be expanded using a microSD card with a capacity of up to 2TB. The LG K30 sports a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. The device’s rear camera is equipped with a 13-megapixel sensor which is capable of recording videos with a resolution of up to 1080p. Below the rear camera, users will find the LED flash and the fingerprint sensor for quickly unlocking the device. On the other hand, the front-facing selfie shooter has a 5-megapixel sensor. To keep its lights on, the smartphone includes a 2,880mAh battery, and it also supports fast charging. The carrier claims that the battery can offer a talk time of up to 13 hours and a standby time of up to 10 days.
T-Mobile also stated that the LG K30 is compatible with the carrier’s 600MHz LTE frequency, and it also mentioned that the device supports the VoLTE technology, which allows users to make calls while connected to the company’s LTE network. Aside from Band 71, the smartphone can also connect to LTE networks running on bands 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, and 66. The official support page for the handset further stated that the device supports 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. The handset is expected to ship with Android Nougat pre-installed. Subscribers have two options for purchasing the handset. They may buy the device outright for $225 or they may also purchase the device for 24 monthly payments of $9 and a downpayment of $9.
