The Moto E5 Plus is available for purchase now from Sprint, while the Moto E5 Play is available for purchase on prepaid carriers including Boost Mobile, Cricket and Verizon. These are great smartphones to pick up right now, while they are fairly inexpensive, there’s still a lot of smartphone here on both devices.
The Moto E5 Play is a 5.2-inch 720p device, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with 2GB of RAM, and a 2800mAh capacity battery inside. While the Moto E5 Plus has a 6-inch 720p 18:9 display here, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, with 3GB of RAM and a whooping 5000mAh capacity battery. Which means the battery on the Moto E5 Plus is going to last for quite some time, in fact it should last a few days at a time. And it makes sense that the Moto E5 Plus is available from Sprint, while the Moto E5 Play is available on prepaid carriers, as the Moto E5 Plus is a slightly better device from Motorola. Both of these run on Android 8.0 Oreo and do have a near stock version of Android, so you’re getting a pretty vanilla experience here on both devices, which is definitely a good thing.
Sprint is offering up the Moto E5 Plus for $288 full retail price. But you can lease it on Sprint’s 18-month lease for $12 per month. While the Moto E5 Play is going to cost you about $99 depending on the prepaid carrier you decide to grab it from (for example, Boost Mobile has already taken $20 off of the price, bringing it down to just $79). Now while the Moto E5 Play and the Moto E5 Plus are not “flagship” devices from Motorola, they are some pretty good options for those that don’t need all the latest specs in a smartphone. But need something that they can use to make phone calls, send text messages and even do some internet browsing. You can pick up either device using the links below.
