Moto E5 Plus To Sport Snapdragon 430, 5.7-Inch Display: Leak

A new leak has provided additional details regarding the specifications of the Moto E5 Plus. According to the leak, the Moto E5 Plus will be powered by the Snapdragon 430 chipset from the semiconductor firm Qualcomm. This chipset is comprised of an octa-core ARM Cortex A53 64-bit CPU running at a maximum clock speed of 1.4GHz and the Adreno 505 GPU. The leak further mentioned that the upcoming device will sport a 5.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1440 by 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The report also indicates that the device will likely be available in two hardware variants, which may contain either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Both hardware variants are expected to ship with 32GB of internal flash storage. The rear camera of the device will reportedly be equipped with a 16-megapixel snapper with an aperture size of f/1.7. The front-facing selfie shooter, on the other hand, is expected to contain an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture size of f/2.0.

Earlier leaks have already provided details regarding the design of the Moto E5 Plus. Previously leaked renders and hands-on images show that the handset will have dual cutouts on its rear panel, even though the device will only have a single rear camera. Located below the rear camera is the LED flash, while the back panel also contains the logo of the smartphone manufacturer. Above the device’s display, users will find the earpiece and the front-facing camera, and the handset will also utilize on-display navigation buttons, according to previous leaks.

Meanwhile, a recent Geekbench listing of the device shows that the smartphone will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed. The Geekbench listing also mentioned that the Moto E5 Plus will include 3GB of RAM, although it stated that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 435 CPU, rather than the Snapdragon 430 SoC that the new leak claims. Another piece of information that can be obtained from the leak is that the Moto E5 Plus will have a price tag of 1,099 Yuan, which translates to $175 at the current exchange rate. Aside from the Moto E5 Plus, the device maker is also expected to launch the standard Moto E5 and the Moto E5 Play.
