Lenovo has been teasing its upcoming “Z5” smartphone for quite some time now, and the company’s VP, Chang Cheng, has just released some official camera samples via its Weibo (Chinese social network) page. These camera samples come with the “Lenovo Z5 AI Dual Camera” watermark, which confirms not only that the device will sport two cameras on its back, but that it will utilize AI (Artificial Intelligence) in order to balance images.
Now, the company’s VP shared two camera samples from the Lenovo Z5, and both of these samples were taken in the dusk, which is actually a great setting to show off camera prowess, that’s for sure. Now, both images look really good, actually, there’s plenty of detail in both of them, and not much grain, even though software processing is noticeably when zooming in, though that is to be expected. Colors are spot on, and even though we can’t really judge dynamic range based on these camera samples, there are no issues there either. It seems like Lenovo Z5’s cameras will be able to let enough light into an image in order to make it look good, at least based on these two camera samples, we’d like to see more of them, though, preferably in even darker conditions. The Lenovo Z5 is the company’s upcoming bezel-less smartphone. The company’s VP actually teased that the phone’s screen-to-body ratio will be at least 95-percent, which is quite staggering, and something that not a single smartphone OEM managed to do thus far. The company’s VP also shared a sketch of the phone, and two renders showing off pieces of the phone’s design. It is also worth saying that 4TB of internal storage for the Lenovo Z5 had also been teased by the company’s VP. Now, Mr. Cheng did not specifically say that this will be a high-end smartphone, but based on everything that we know about it at the moment, it almost certainly will, and it is expected to arrive next month.
