The OnePlus 6 was announced in London yesterday, and now the company launched it in China as well. The only difference between a global variant, and this variant that got announced in China lies within the phone’s software, as the global variant comes with OxygenOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, this Chinese variant ships with HydrogenOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Other than that, everything’s the same, from design and specs, to variant that the company introduced.
OnePlus has announced three variants of the phone in China, Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and Silk White. All three of these variants are made out of metal and glass, though they offer different finishes, the Mirror Black model is reflective, and has that ceramic feel, while the Midnight Black and Slik White are more subtle, the Midnight Black model even looks like it has a metal back, even though it does not. In any case, the Mirror Black model comes in 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage, and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage, and those two variants are priced at 3,199 Yuan ($503) and 3,599 Yuan ($566) in China, respectively. The Midnight Black model comes in two 8GB RAM flavors, a more affordable variant offers 128GB of storage, while the more expensive one comes with 256GB storage, and those two variants cost 3,599 Yuan ($566) and 3,999 Yuan ($629), respectively. A Slik White option features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while it is priced at 3,599 Yuan ($566). Mirror Black and Midnight Black variants will go on sale on May 22, and will be available from OnePlus’ official website and JingDong Mall (JD.com). OnePlus has also mentioned that the Avengers Limited Edition OnePlus 6 will be available starting on June 5 for 4,199 Yuan ($660), that’s the same date when a Silk White model will go on sale. OnePlus’ new Bullets Wireless earphones will go on sale in China starting on June 18 for 399 Yuan ($63).
The OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display, while it comes with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of storage. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while a 3,300mAh battery is also a part of the package. The device features 16 and 20-megapixel cameras on the back, while it offers Dash Charge quick charging. A 3.5mm headphone jack is included here as well, while the phone features a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
