Following OnePlus’ global launch in London yesterday, and its announcement in China earlier today, the company has just launched the phone in India as well. OnePlus hosted a press conference in India, and announced not only all three regular OnePlus 6 variants that were introduced in London, but also a special edition Avengers OnePlus 6, which was originally introduced in China earlier today. In addition to announcing the OnePlus 6 in the country, the company also launched its wireless Bullets headphones, which also debuted in London yesterday.
Now, as far as variants are concerned, it’s worth noting that a variant of the OnePlus 6 with 256GB will not be available in India, but 64GB and 128GB storage models will. A Mirror Black OnePlus 6 will go on sale in both 6GB and 8GB RAM options, with 64GB and 128GB of storage, respectively. Midnight Black model will be available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage only, and the same goes for a Silk White OnePlus 6. Now, 6GB RAM variants of the OnePlus 6 are priced at Rs. 34,999 ($517) in India, while all 8GB RAM models will be available at Rs. 39,999 ($591) in the country. Now, the special edition Avengers OnePlus 6 comes with a special price tag, it’s priced at Rs. 44,999 ($665), and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 6 will be available exclusively from Amazon India starting on May 22, though you will be able to get it on May 21 if you’re a Prime user. These dates apply for a regular variant of the phone, as the Silk White model will go on sale on June 5th. If you’re more interested in the Avengers OnePlus 6 variant, you should know that it will go on sale on May 29, and it will also be available exclusively on Amazon. OnePlus’ Bullets Wireless earphones are priced at Rs. 3,999 ($59) in India, and will be available starting next month from OnePlus India website.
All three OnePlus 6 variant share the same specs, even though they come in different RAM and storage setups. In any case, the OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch fullHD+ Full Optic AMOLED display, while the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor fuels the device. A 3,300mAh battery is included in the device, and the phone supports Dash Charge fast charging, which is OnePlus’ proprietary fast charging tech, one of the fastest out there. The device does not support wireless charging, despite having a glass back, but it does come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. A display notch is also included in the package, while the phone’s alert slider sits above the power key this time around. 16 and 20-megapixel cameras are included on the back of the phone, right above the device’s fingerprint scanner, while a single 16-megapixel camera sits on the front side of the OnePlus 6. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, while OnePlus included its OxygenOS skin on top of it. If you’d like to know more about the OnePlus 6, click here.
