The OnePlus 6’s announcement is right around the corner, as the phone launches on May 16, and as we’re waiting for the launch event, a new OnePlus 6 concept design has just surfaced. This new concept design video comes from the ‘Science and Knowledge’ YouTube channel, and it actually shows off a rather realistic-looking OnePlus 6, which is not all that surprising considering that we pretty much know what the phone will look like at this point.
As you can see, this concept phone is made out of metal and glass, and it sports a display notch. The device’s bezels are extremely thin, and it does have a ‘chin’ below the display, but that chin is quite thin as well. The power / lock key is included on the right-hand side of the OnePlus 6, while its volume up, volume down and alert slider keys are set on the left. Two vertically-aligned cameras are included on the back of the device, while the dual-LED flash sits right below them. The phone’s fingerprint scanner is located on the back as well, as is the company’s branding. The phone’s back side is curved a bit, and even though this phone does resemble the real deal a bit, the final product will be somewhat different. The alert slider will be included on the right-hand side of the OnePlus 6, while its overall design will look different as well, as OnePlus’ ‘horizon line’ is not exactly included here, and the phone’s frame resembles the one we’ve seen on the LG G6.
Having said that, the designer showed off several color variants of its imaginary smartphone, Midnight Black, Lava Red, Sandstone White, and Blue. Some specs have been shown in the provided video as well, specs that the designer envisioned for its OnePlus 6 concept handset. This imaginary phone comes with a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display, with Gorilla Glass 6 on top of it. The phone is IP68-certified, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on it with OnePlus’ OxygenOS skin. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 fuels this imaginary phone, while the device comes with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage. 16 and 20-megapixel cameras are included on the back of this phone, while a single 20-megapixel camera sits on its front side. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included here, as is a Type-C USB port. If you’d like to check out this design for yourself, fire up the video down below.
