SCOSCHE Industries has now provided a few more details about its new BoomBottle MM Speaker first revealed at CES, including official information about its availability and pricing. The BoomBottle MM is a MagicMount-enabled rugged Bluetooth speaker providing up to twelve hours of battery life. It also features a unique, bottle-like shape and includes both built-in mics and a built-in bottle opener. What’s more, two six-watt speakers and two 40mm passive subwoofers are part of the package and two BoomBootle MM’s can be paired together for a better stereo experience. The product will come in multiple colors next month, being set to be retailed via the official SCOSCHE online storefront.
For now, those interested in picking up the speaker early can do so at participating Costco retail locations or the Costco online shop – via the banner below. It’s only available in Black as of this writing and it does require a Costco membership to purchase. However, this is still a chance to pick up the device earlier than anybody else. Pricing has been set at $129.99. For that price, buyers are getting the aforementioned specs in a package ruggedized to an IP rating of IP67 for dust and water resistance. SCOSCHE also says it has done internal tests to ensure that drop safety is up to military specs. Other external features include a control panel at the back for controlling audio and the mentioned MagicMount system comprised of magnets for mounting the speaker. The bottle shape, SCOSCHE says, also allows the speaker to fit easily into bottle cages and cup holders. Meanwhile, on the inside, the sound is managed with auto-equalization for outdoor or indoor settings with a frequency response of 80Hz-18KHz. That’s driven by a 4,000mAh battery which charges via an included USB-to-Type-C cable.
That’s already a great package without consideration for other accessories it ships with. In fact, it could easily be among the best speakers in its price range. Those accessories aren’t necessarily scant, though. The SCOSCHE BoomBottle MM is bundled with a carabiner clip, a 12W USB car charger, and two magnetic plates to make mounting to non-metal surfaces easier. The tech-savvy speakers will, of course, come in a wide range of other colors once they hit the official SCOSCHE site in June. So anybody who wants something a bit more unique will just have to hold off until then.
