A recent leak has provided details regarding the design and specifications of the Vivo Y75s, an upcoming handset from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo. The leak highlights the handset’s 5.99-inch display, which is rumored to have a resolution of 1,440 by 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Above the display, users will find the single front-facing camera and the earpiece. On the other hand, the rear panel of the smartphone contains a single rear camera, the LED flash, and the fingerprint sensor. Both the power button and the volume rockers are placed on the right side of the Vivo Y75s. The leak mentions that the handset will be available in four color variants namely Champagne Gold, Charm Red, Deep Blue, and Matte Black.
The leak also provided details regarding the specifications of the upcoming handset. Rumors claim that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 450 chipset from the semiconductor firm Qualcomm. This SoC is comprised of an octa-core ARM Cortex A53 64-bit CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. The handset is rumored to include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash storage, which could be expanded using a microSD card. The single rear camera of the Vivo Y75s will reportedly be equipped with a 13-megapixel sensor while the front-facing selfie shooter will likely have a higher resolution 16-megapixel snapper. To keep its lights on, the handset will reportedly contain a 3,225mAh non-removable battery.
Software-wise, the leak claims that the Vivo Y75s will ship with Android 7.1 Nougat pre-installed, and it is likely that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer’s proprietary skin, Funtouch OS, will run on top of Google’s operating system. The rumor further states that the Vivo Y75s will ship with a feature dubbed as the Gaming Mode, which enables users to stop notifications from appearing while they are playing games. In addition, the handset will also reportedly include the tech firm’s own virtual assistant Jovi. Vivo’s AI assistant primarily assists users in navigating and controlling the device. There is no clear information yet regarding the availability and the pricing of the handset, although the smartphone has been recently certified by the Chinese telecommunications regulator TENAA, which could mean that the Vivo Y75s will likely be launched, at least in China, in the near future.
