Let’s talk about shipments first, shall we, Samsung had managed to ship out 78.2 million smartphones in Q1 2018, compared to 80.2 million a year ago. Apple’s shipments grew a bit compared to last year, same goes for Huawei’s. Xiaomi managed to increase its shipments considerably more than anyone else on the list, the company shipped out 12.6 million handsets in Q1 2017, while that number grew to 28.3 million in Q1 2018. OPPO is the fifth-placed smartphone OEM as far as shipments are concerned, as the company managed to ship out 24.1 million smartphones in Q1 2018, a bit less than last year. According to Strategy Analytics, 345.4 million smartphones were shipped out in Q1 2018, globally.

Now, the order of smartphone manufacturers in the second chart is the same as in the first one.
