Young Han Solo Comes To Android Via Star Wars: Force Arena

A much younger but equally witty Han Solo is now arriving to Android smartphones and tablets via Star Wars: Force Arena, Netmarble’s popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) originally released in early 2017. The latest content update to the game adds a broad range of exclusive content that ties into the latest spin-off in the iconic space opera – Solo: A Star Wars Story, which hit the theaters earlier this week. In an emailed statement, Netmarble disclosed that the Han Solo-centered update exceeded 200,000 pre-registrations over a three-week period ending May 25, having capitalized on the anticipation surrounding the new Hollywood blockbuster.

The new update introduces six playable characters to Star Wars: Force Arena, including young Han Solo himself, as well as his Wookie friend Chewbacca. Thanks to the high volume of pre-registrations, all players are now receiving in-game rewards, including 300 crystals, 10,000 credits, and a Legendary Wild Card. All you have to do to take advantage of the time-limited promotion is install Star Wars: Force Arena or ensure you’re running the latest version of the game in case you already have it. New Leader Training and Development systems are now also part of the package, providing players with even more opportunities to earn materials and currency allowing them to progress through the mobile game.

Besides the extra playable characters, Netmarble is pointing to the inclusion of a Datacard System as the biggest change introduced with the update, describing a game mode that introduces “Against All Odds” battles which will pit you versus two players and leave you to fend for yourself, as well as a new “Protect the AT-AT” quest, both of which promise lucrative rewards and additional ways for players to upgrade their decks. A Character Gallery can now also be accessed from the game’s main menu and completing image collections will be rewarded with Wild Cards, Netmarble said, confirming Star Wars: Force Arena now features over 120 playable cards.
