The BlackBerry KEY2 has leaked in additional press renders earlier this morning showing off the phone from a few different angles, providing a better look at the upcoming device and showing off specific features. Though none of the internals or specifications, or the actual features for that matter, are talked about in this leak, some aspects of the device are clear. The BlackBerry KEY2 will come with USB Type-C for charging and data transfer, and it looks like it may have dual speakers, one on either side of the charging port located on the bottom of the phone, however it’s also possible that only one of these is a speaker and the other is simply there to match the design and keep things aesthetically uniform.
All three images give a better look at the display of the BlackBerry KEY2 along with some perspective to how big it might be, with the keyboard looking a little shorter than the keyboard on the KEYone. Speaking of the keyboard, the button that BlackBerry Mobile highlighted in its teaser from back in late May is in clearer view as well. It’s still not known what exactly this button will do but because it was highlighted in the teaser clip it would appear to have some significance and based on the location of the button as well as its design, this is probably just the new look of the BlackBerry button that can be found on every other BlackBerry device with a physical keyboard.
The KEY2 will come with dual cameras on the back of the phone along with an LED flash, one camera on the front for selfies and video chat, a SIM slot on the left edge of the frame, and the volume keys, a power button, and a third button, on the right side of the frame which might be designed to be used for any number of things from Google Assistant to a dedicated camera key. For now it seems the KEY2 will come in just one color, but the KEYone was eventually released in a second color option so there is always the chance the KEY2 will get the same treatment down the line.
