Web giant Google has a specialized App Maker that can craft native apps and web apps to run on desktop and Android with ease, and that tool, previously only available to a small set of select partners, is now available to all enterprise and G Suite customers. The robust app creation suite is made to use minimal coding, allowing companies to create custom apps that can automate or simplify everyday tasks. The big draw is that, with little to no training, the tool allows the very same people who do the menial work in the company’s systems, such as populating order forms or organizing files, to have a hand in creating the apps that will make their lives easier. This means that they can inject their expertise into the process and ensure smooth integration.
The drag-and-drop app maker is not limited to allowing users to make things from scratch to make their jobs easier; it can also import databases and use Cloud SQL Users can also use all sorts of declarative language to make their changes and code, in the places it’s necessary, as clear as possible to everybody who uses the app. Full integration support for over 40 Google services, including Google Cloud Platform, Gmail and Google Drive are all on board, as well as a selection of third-party cloud services. Apps and projects in the App Maker can also be managed by G Suite administrators.
App Maker is available right now for all Google enterprise customers in any capacity, including Google Cloud Platform customers. Customers of all versions of G Suite, including G Suite for Education, can also use App Maker. This effort makes life even easier for G Suite and enterprise customers, a path that Google has been dutifully following for some years now. Recently, the firm has added macros to Sheets for G Suite customers, made the G Suite administrator console more powerful and easier to use, and broadened hardware support for Hangouts Meet, just to name a few of the qualify of life improvements that Google has been visiting upon the enterprise sector. Presumably, Google will continue to find new ways to leverage its vast and powerful suite of services to provide more convenience to customers.
