Motorola just announced the brand new Moto Z3 Play today, which is the third-generation smartphone that has incredible battery life from the company. Since it’s a Moto Z smartphone, it does work with all of the existing Moto Mods that the company has debuted over the years. Motorola has already included a pretty decent battery in the Moto Z3 Play, a 3000mAh capacity battery which should keep it running all day long. But if you need some more juice, Motorola is bundling every Moto Z3 Play purchase with the Moto Power Pack Mod. This is a Moto Mod that functions as a battery pack that attaches to your smartphone and gives you about 2100mAh capacity in addition to the included 3000mAh capacity battery. Making the Moto Z3 Play last you days without needing to touch a charger.
The Moto Power Pack Mod will also work on other Moto Z smartphones and is sold on its website individually. It normally retails for around $49.99, so that’s a pretty good gift to have included with your Moto Z3 Play purchase, especially for those that are heavy users and do need a bit more battery capacity on their smartphone. Now the Moto Z3 Play does work with other Moto Mods, like the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer, the JBL SoundBoost speaker, and many more. Lenovo and Motorola have done very well at releasing new Moto Mods quite regularly. In fact, the Polaroid Moto Mod was announced at CES in January.
The Moto Z3 Play doesn’t have an actual release date yet, but it should be launching some time this month, according to Motorola’s blog post. It’ll be available in Brazil beginning today – where the device was announced. Pricing has not yet been announced either, but expect it to be similarly priced to the Moto Z2 Play from last year, which was around $400.
