OnePlus Bullets Wireless Sold Out Stateside Within Minutes

The OnePlus Bullets Wireless earbuds have been sold out in the United States within minutes of becoming available for purchase at 10 AM EDT. The in-ear headphones went out of stock in Europe after three minutes earlier today, with OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei saying the Chinese smartphone manufacturer underestimated the demand for its latest audio gadget. The executive already confirmed the company is working on getting the Bullets Wireless back into stock in Europe as quickly as possible and the same is presumed to hold true for its stateside inventory.

The Bullets Wireless debuted alongside the Silk White version of the OnePlus 6 which is still available for purchase as of 10:37 AM EDT, though the limited-edition nature of the new model will likely see it sold out soon as well. Priced at $69, the Bullets Wireless lineup is advertised as the ultimate value-oriented proposition for consumers on the lookout for a pair of contemporary Bluetooth earbuds. While most phone makers debut new wireless headphones along with smartphone models that lack a 3.5mm headphone jack, the new OnePlus 6 still features such a port and the Shenzhen, Guangdong-based company gave no indication of planning to do away with that connectivity option in the near future.

The OnePlus 6 launched as the fastest-selling smartphone from the OEM to date, continuing its tradition of new handset releases that manage to outsell their direct predecessors. The handset was introduced in three colors and a trio of memory configurations, though both Midnight Black variants are presently listed as being out of stock in the U.S. OnePlus had issues with keeping up with the global demand for its products in the past and while the company got better at doing so in recent times, it has yet to hold a worldwide launch that isn’t immediately followed by inventory shortages in any of its target markets.
