OnePlus will be hosting its first-ever “Open Ears Forum” in India next month, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer said earlier this week. The goal of the event is to gather customer feedback on the company’s existing product portfolio, though the exact agenda of the gathering has yet to be disclosed. The venue itself also hasn’t been specified even as OnePlus is already asking interested participants send in applications for attending the happening. Indian consumers are able to do so by referring to the banner below, with the online form suggesting OnePlus hasn’t detailed the agenda of the event because one still hasn’t been set in stone; among other things, applicants are required to answer “which aspect of the product” lineup from the firm they would like to discuss at the even, being encouraged to elaborate on the matter.
The Open Ears Forum is taking place on July 7, with similar gatherings already being organized in London and San Francisco earlier this year. The first two events were centered around OxygenOS and were relatively limited in terms of audience, with the India one being set to follow suit as only 30 applicants will be chosen to attend the closed forum. Anyone interested in attending the happening has until June 12, 11:59 PM local time, to apply. As the venue of the gathering still hasn’t been publicized or even selected, OnePlus will ensure all attendees are provided with free lodging and travel accommodations.
India’s first Open Ears Forum comes shortly after the Shenzhen, Guangdong-based original equipment manufacturer launched its latest Android flagship in the form of the OnePlus 6, having debuted its first-ever handset equipped with a display notch and up to 256GB of storage space. The OnePlus 6 already became its fastest-selling product, with its top variants already being sold-out in many parts of the world and the firm working on replenishing its stock as quickly as possible.
