T-Mobile Offering Up To $900 For AT&T "Grandfathered" Users To Switch

T-Mobile is once again targeting AT&T customers with its latest promotion. Last week, AT&T decided to raise rates on its “grandfathered” unlimited data customers for the third time in two years. So T-Mobile has decided to offer a pretty sweet deal to get those customers away from AT&T and onto its network. Offering up to $900 to switch to the Un-carrier. T-Mobile is offering the usual $650 to switch to T-Mobile when you trade-in your smartphone, but you also get an extra $250  as a “one-time offer to make up for AT&T breaking their promises over these last two years” according to T-Mobile. That makes this a pretty sweet deal, especially if you are no longer under contract to AT&T, and are looking to make the jump.

Those that do make the switch from AT&T to T-Mobile have to be on the grandfathered unlimited data plan. Also, you will need to transfer your number to T-Mobile and trade-in your smartphone. That’s pretty standard for T-Mobile’s switcher promotions over the years. It’s a pretty good deal, since you’ll be joining T-Mobile’s ONE plan, which offers unlimited data, talk and text as well as Netflix included. Which is a pretty good offering, especially for cord-cutters that already watch plenty of Netflix.

This new promotion from T-Mobile is called “WTH” or “Why The Hike”, and it’ll begin next Wednesday on June 20. It will only last a limited amount of time, so you’ll want to take advantage of it before it’s gone. T-Mobile has not stated how long it’ll be available, other than being a limited time promo. Customers that want to take advantage of the WTH deal can go to a T-Mobile retail store or call 1-800-T-Mobile to get started. Unfortunately, you can’t take advantage of this deal on T-Mobile’s website. So you’ll want to make sure to make some time to stop by a T-Mobile store if you are looking to jump from AT&T to T-Mobile.
