Blue Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Leaks With Yellow-Gold S Pen

A render depicting what appears to be a blue variant of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 accompanied by a yellow-gold S Pen appeared online earlier today, having been obtained by well-known industry insider Evan Blass. The image that can be seen above provides another look at the brightly colored stylus Samsung already teased earlier this month as part of its reveal of the Galaxy Note 9’s announcement date.

While a number of previous leaks and reports indicated Samsung’s Coral Blue color will be making a return with the Galaxy Note 9 lineup, most recent rumors suggest that while a blue variant of the device is indeed in the works, it will be darker than the popular finish that the company first debuted with the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 in the late summer of 2016 before bringing it back for every next Android flagship series it released. The newly sighted render adds more credence to those later reports, showing a device with a dark blue glass on its back. The very same image also suggests the Galaxy Note 9 will be equipped with an ultra-wide lens, though it’s still unclear whether Samsung is planning on iterating on its variable-aperture glass module debuted on the rear plates of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus earlier this year.

The blue model of the Android phablet will presumably be the only one to be accompanied by a yellow-gold S Pen, whereas the other ones will either feature a black stylus or one that corresponds to the colors of their bodies, as has been the case with all previous generations of the Galaxy Note family. The Galaxy Note 9 will be announced at a New York City event taking place on August 9, with the device being expected to go on sale on August 24 after a pre-order period spanning approximately two weeks. The Samsung-made handset shouldn’t be pricier than its 2017 predecessor which started at around $960, depending on the market.
