Gallery Update Brings Video Editing To OnePlus 3, 3T, 5 & 5T

OnePlus has just updated its Gallery app, and this new update brings OnePlus 6’s video editing tools to a number of the company’s older devices, including the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, and 5T. To be more specific, those of you who use any of the aforementioned devices should just update OnePlus’ stock Gallery app via the Play Store, and you’ll get the ability to trim videos, add background music, apply a filter, and apply a slow-motion effect on a particular video.

These features have been available in the OnePlus 6 since the phone launched a couple of months ago, and it’s nice to see that OnePlus decided to push those very same features to its older devices. Now, in order to utilize these new features, you’ll need to use the company’s stock Gallery app, of course, all you need to do is select a video you’d like to edit, and select the ‘edit’ option. Once you do that, you’ll be able to modify a video in a number of ways, but the most useful feature is probably the ability to trim videos, as you do not need to download a third-party app to do that any longer, as OnePlus’ feature in the Gallery app works really well, at least on the OnePlus 6, we did not get a chance to test it on the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5 or 5T just yet.

If you own any of the aforementioned devices, you can simply go to the Play Store and see if an update is available, or you can do it via your computer, heading to the link down below which will take you directly to the app’s listing. OnePlus actually changed the design of the Gallery app a bit when the OnePlus 6 landed, as the ‘Collections’ tab got redesigned, while some other aspects of the app got a refresh as well. The OnePlus Gallery app is currently not holding the highest rating in the Play Store, but we’ve had no issues with it over the last couple of OnePlus devices, so at least from the stability standpoint, everything should be in order.
