Live images of the Honor Note 10, which were released by the Dutch publication Techtastic, detail the design of the upcoming flagship phablet offering of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor. The Honor Note 10 is expected to succeed the Honor Note 8, which was launched back in 2016. The images highlight the size of the phablet relative to the popular portable gaming console Nintendo Switch. The smartphone will likely have a similar height to the Nintendo Switch, although the handset is significantly thinner and slightly narrower than the console. However, despite the similarities in size, the Chinese tech firm was able to incorporate a 6.9-inch display into the smartphone, which is significantly larger than the 6.2-inch screen of the Nintendo Switch. The images also show that unlike other flagship handsets released by its competitors, the Honor Note 10 will not have a notch above the display. Even though the photographs do not show the rear panel of the device, previously released renders of the smartphone show that the back of the device will contain dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor.
Previous reports state that the Kirin 970 chipset will power the Honor Note 10. Rumors also claim that the device will be available in variants that contain either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and consumers may also choose among models of the handset that includes either 128GB or 256GB of internal flash storage. The dual rear camera setup of the handset will reportedly support electronic image stabilization, and we’re probably looking at 24 and 16-megapixel cameras here. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, will have a single 16-megapixel sensor, according to recent rumors.
The Honor Note 10 will reportedly include a 6,000mAh battery and it will support fast charging. Recent rumors also state that the device will support connectivity features like 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. The Honor Note 10 will reportedly ship with Android 8.1 Oreo pre-installed, although the tech firm’s proprietary skin, EMUI 8.0, will likely run on top of Google’s operating system. The device will reportedly be launched on July 26th, and more details regarding the availability and pricing of the smartphone will likely be released on that date.
