The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to launch soon enough, with notable upgrades across the board compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy Tab S3 launched back at the Mobile World Congress last year, boasting high-end specs, new S Pen stylus, a premium design, and specialized features for both entertainment and productivity. Its successor has been starring in various leaks, benchmarks, and rumors for a while now, and it was recently spotted at the FCC as well, indicating an imminent release. It’s said to be making its official debut after the Galaxy Note 9 launches on August 9, probably at Berlin-based IFA trade show.
Galaxy Tab S4 leaks have so far hinted at a powerful tablet and the latest one seems to confirm such expectations. The upcoming tablet will reportedly feature a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, which should render vivid and crisp visuals. Under the hood, the slate is rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. The latest leak also seems to confirm recent rumors that the Galaxy Tab S4 will have a large 7,300mAh-capacity battery, and it will support the Samsung DeX Pad accessory. With DeX support and an S Pen stylus to boot, the Galaxy Tab S4 could appeal to consumers looking for more than just a simple tablet.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is further expected to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front shooter, and an iris scanner. The tablet is rumored to ditch the physical home button and will reportedly have no fingerprint scanner either. Instead, it will rely on an iris sensor. The Galaxy Tab S4 is still expected to have a USB 3.1. Other rumored specs and features include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac connectivity, GPS, and high-quality audio with AKG tuning. Samsung‘s new high-end tablet will likely debut at the IFA 2018 trade show in September, running Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
