A short hands-on video said to be showing the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 was leaked on Chinese social media platform Weibo earlier this week, suggesting the device will be available in black and white color options. The clip that can be seen below confirms earlier leaks that detailed the design of the upcoming tablet offering from the South Korean tech giant. The front of the device has black bezels in both color variants and no longer contains Samsung’s logo which was previously located on the top bezel of the tablet’s predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S3. Previous rumors claimed the manufacturer’s logo was removed to make way for the iris scanner. Furthermore, the video also shows that the device will sport on-screen navigation buttons, while the rear panel of the tablet will have a single camera and an LED flash. Even though those were not clearly seen in the hands-on video, previously leaked images also indicated that the power button and volume rocker will be located on the right side of the device.
Aside from its design, recent leaks also detailed the specifications of the Galaxy Tab S4. The tablet will reportedly sport a 10.5-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10, whereas its predecessor used a 4:3 image format. Several rumors also indicate that the Snapdragon 835 chipset will power the tablet and that the device will reportedly include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash storage. The product’s single rear camera will likely have a 13-megapixel sensor, while the front-facing module is expected to contain an 8-megapixel module. A 7,300mAh battery with fast charging support is said to be part of the package as well.
Recent reports also state that the Galaxy Tab S4 will be compatible with the Samsung DeX Pad, an accessory that allows the tablet to connect to external monitors, keyboards, and computer mice. Samsung is expected to launch the device in late August and release it no later than September.
