Fortnite Beta For Android Available On Select Galaxy Devices

During Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 announcement, the availability of Fortnite beta was announced for mobile phones, well, that game is currently exclusive to some of Samsung’s gadgets, but in its press release, Epic Games announced that Fornite Android Beta will ‘being opening for other devices over the next few days’. These are devices that are listed as ‘currently supported’ on the company’s website: the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, Note 8, Note 9, Tab S3, and Tab S4.

Now, those of you who opt to purchase the Galaxy Note 9 or the Galaxy Tab S4 will get one specific perk, you’ll get access to the new ‘Galaxy outfit’ in the game, and that outfit is pictured down below, and was announced during the Galaxy Note 9 launch. If you head to Fortnite’s beta sign up page (link is included down below), you will be able to see a lot more devices will be supported in the near future, including devices from Google, ASUS, Huawei, Honor, Nokia, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and so on. It seems like Samsung managed to get Fornite Android exclusive for a short while, after which all those other phones will get access to the game, though we do not have specific timeframes just yet, but we’re probably looking at a couple of days difference, not more than that.

Fortnite is a ‘battle royale’ game, it’s basically a huge online shooter where you’re thrown in the same map as a ton of other players and you get at it. Fortnite is usually mentioned as a competitor to PUBG, a game that has been available for Android for a while now. That being said, during its press announcement, Samsung has mentioned that the Galaxy Note 9 will handle playing Fortnite like a champ, not only because of the sheer hardware power that the company included under the hood, but also its new cooling system which will keep the device running games at optimal speeds.
